College of Humanities Program Office: Department of History, 211 Carlson Hall, 581-8596 Director, Anand A. Yang The undergraduate Asian Studies Program requires a double major in Asian studies and some other field, typically Chinese, Japanese, history, political science, economics, finance, or management, although any second major is acceptable. A bulletin on the program and a list of classes (the University's regular Class Schedule does not contain cross-listings for Asian studies) are available in the Department of History, 211 Carlson Hall. A minor in Asian studies requires a minimum of 15 semester hours, of which 9 semester hours must be in courses other than a language. Contact the program director for further information on the Asian Studies Program and to enroll as a major. Majors in Chinese and Japanese are also available.
